Lei
The hawaiian lei is something that most people enjoy to getting when they are arriving on a hawaiian island as a greeting or at a graduation. A flower lei is offered to another person with a kiss and is to removed in private. It is rude to remove a lei once it is given to you. Leis can be made out of different flowers or candies. It is entirely up to your imagination. If a flower is placed on the Right of your ear you are showing you are single. If it is placed on the Left side of your ear then you are married.
Clothing
Ancient Hawaiian clothing were made from kappa (bark cloth). The basic garments for men was a malo (loincloth) and for women was a pa'u (skirt). Ti leaf capes were provided as protection against the cold or rain. Ali'i (Chief) wore feather capes, cloaks or helmets as a sign of rank status.
Weapons
Ancient Hawaiians used a spear or pike as their main choice of weapon for their armies. These weapons had several variations and styles. A javelin would be used if their enemy was far. The Hawaiians would decorate it with sharks teeth for a deeper cut into their enemy.

There are 13 letters of the Hawaiian alphabet. These letters are A, E, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, U, W, & ' (okina). The 13th "letter" is called and okina. This is written to change the meaning of a word that is being said. An okina is placed in between to vowels to change the way a word is said. Every Hawaiian word and syllable ends with a vowel. Two consonants never occur without a vowel in between them.

Luau also has Hula dancing and singing.

Kala'au are short thin wooden sticks that are pounded together or on the floor. 'Ili "ili are smooth stones that are placed in between the fingers of both hands.
